November 4th Election Info

There will be 17 proposed amendments to the Texas Constitution on the November 4, 2025 election ballot.  Here is a list of all Propositions with explanations.  Below are some highlights.

• Proposition 1 establishes a permanent source of funding for the Texas State Technical College System.  TSTC will benefit to the tune of $52 million a year for capital improvements through a one-time expenditure of $850 million.

• Proposition 5 increases the exemption for business personal property tax from $2,500 to $125,000.

• Proposition 13 increases the homestead exemption for school property taxes from $100,000 to $140,000.

• Proposition 11 increases the homestead exemption for elderly and disabled from $10,000 to $60,000.  Coupled with Proposition 13, the total exemption comes to $200,000.
